Return Idler set

We are manufacturing V type return idler set, it consists manufacturing of 2 nos. of return idler and supporting frame as per the order requirements and drawing requirements.

A V-type return idler set is a specialized return idler designed to track and center the conveyor belt on the return run. Its technical specifications focus on its two-roll design and its ability to maintain belt alignment.

Key Technical Specifications

• V-Trough Angle: The most defining characteristic is the V-trough angle, which is the angle between the two return idler rolls. A common angle is 10 degrees. The V-trough angle provides a “V-troughing” effect on the belt, helping to center it and prevent it from wandering, which is particularly useful for conveyors with long runs or those that have a tendency for belt misalignment.
• CEMA Class Rating: Like other idlers, V-type return idler sets are classified by the Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) standards (B, C, D, E, F). The CEMA class specifies the idler’s load-carrying capacity, which for return idlers is based on the weight of the empty belt and any potential “carryback” material.
• Belt Width: The V-type return idler set must be specified for a particular conveyor belt width. The length of the two idler rolls and the overall width of the frame are designed to match the belt’s dimensions.
• Roll and Shaft Diameter: The diameter of the individual rolls is specified for a particular CEMA class and belt speed. The shaft diameter is also a critical specification, as it is sized to handle the tension and weight of the belt without excessive deflection.
• Bearings and Seals: These are crucial for the idler’s lifespan. Specifications include the type of bearings (e.g., sealed ball bearings) and the type of sealing system, often a multi-stage labyrinth seal, which protects the internal bearings from contamination from dust and moisture.
• Materials: The frame is typically made from steel, and the rolls are made from steel tubing. For applications with sticky materials or carryback, rubber-coated rolls can be specified to reduce material buildup and clean the belt as it passes over the idler.
